Chronic absenteeism rates have soared post-pandemic. Even districts and schools with response systems in place are strained by the sheer volume of chronically absent students. To help schools meet today’s student needs, the GRAD Partnership has developed a new tool to guide school teams in developing action plans for understanding chronic absenteeism in their local context, mitigating the risks for their students and community, and designing interventions to meet their specific needs.
As you prepare for a new school year, join the GRAD Partnership and AASA, The School Superintendents Association, in a webinar introducing this new free resource to superintendents, and school and district leaders. Participants will have the opportunity to share their own experiences and learn from each other.
Panelists:
- Robert Balfanz, JHU Everyone Graduates Center
- Noelle Ellerson Ng, AASA, The School Superintendents Association
- Krystal D. Payne, Network for College Success
- Sonia Urban, Talent Development Secondary
